I have stayed at Sofitel many many times, and every time it's a delight. It's far and away my favourite airport hotel, and the person I was travelling with this time, who had never seen it, commented 'this is a destination in itself!' which pretty much sums it up. It's the kind of hotel you go to to stay at a hotel, not to get an early plane. They offer welcome drinks in the foyer, they help with bags, they treat you to free room upgrades sometimes, which are amazing, the layout is gorgeous like a panopticon, and the elevators have glass backs so you can see into the central atrium. It's just a lovely place to stay, and it's often available for lower rates than the other far inferior Gatwick hotels! I am a big fan and will definitely be back!

The hotel was very modern, the staff were courteous and accommodating. At check in I mentioned that it was our anniversary and the manager upgraded our room at no extra charge. Airi checked us in and recommended the Vanda restaurant for dinner, she even booked the reservation for me. Dinner at Vanda was exceptional. It was Thai Asian fusion and every dish our server Elaina recommended was delicious. Our flight back home was early the next morning and we had a sumptuous breakfast before checking out. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we will recommend the Sofitel at Gatwick to our family and friends.

We stayed in a family room no. 354. The room is split into two bedrooms so the children had their own room, which was bigger than ours! The beds were super comfy and the bathroom was lovely and clean. Glass tumblers and individual bottles of Hildon water are kept in the fridge, making everything lovely and chilled. The food and cocktails in the International restaurant are really good. The hotel is clean and the staff are really friendly. The whole experience was a little touch of luxury and the walkway from the hotel to the North Terminal made for an easy, stress free start to our holiday.

this is a good hotel in the north terminal of London Gatwick airport. Clean, big, there is also a comfortable bar in the podium floor. Good, typically English, breakfast. Travelling to the center of London is very convenient with Gatwick express. If you stay for 2-3 nights in London and you leave early in the morning via airplane - do not hesitate, this is a decent choice. hotel has 2 restaurants. one of them is Chinese restaurant Vanda. Not the most delicious Chinese restaurant outside of China, but can be considered for a dinner. All in all - pleasant.

I had an early morning flight at Gatwick, and because the coaches don’t always give you a lot of choices, I opted to stay in an airport hotel to avoid having to spend hours sitting in the airport terminal overnight. It’s a lot of money for the luxury of sleeping in a bed for a few hours, but I’m not 20 anymore. Anyway, the facilities were more than acceptable, the staff at reception were professional and the comfort and cleanliness were of a high standard so i would say overall it was worth it.
